For The Love of Mary

A bold, poetic, and darkly funny spoken word theatre show exploring womanhood, identity, and the hidden stories of Irish women.

Told through the eyes of a woman from a Protestant background, uprooted by the Troubles, For The Love of Mary is a powerful one-woman show that weaves autobiography, poetry, and lived experience. From teenage pregnancy to the women’s refuge system, this raw and resonant performance shares the voices of 15 women from across Ireland – from former nuns to activists – capturing their untold truths with wit, heart, and humanity.

Followed by Q&A with Orla Hasson, supported by The Junction funded by DFA Reconciliation Fund.

This special preview performance is a fundraiser to help support Mel taking this to Glastonbury.
